The SH480LHD-6, which is part of Sumitomo’s Dash 6 range of excavators, focuses on increased productivity, power and fuel saving technologies.
The excavator features an Isuzu AL-6UZIX Interim Tier 4 engine and a new Space 5 Plus engine system. Combined with an advanced common rail diesel fuel injection system, a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system and a variable geometry turbocharger, the machine now offers improved fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
The redesigned cabin integrates roll-over protection structures (ROPS) with level two falling object protection systems (FOPS), and a certified operator protective guard (OPG) option is also available.
In addition, operator comfort has been optimised – the larger cabin is fitted with a new 178mm LCD monitor equipped with the Sumitomo G@Nav navigation system and three optional cameras.
