Quarry supplier secures international distribution deal

Spanish manufacturer Capotex has appointed Kinder Australia as the exclusive distributor of its range of conveyor belt covers in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Kinder Australia, the belt covers are manufactured using a wide range of optional materials – such as galvanised, pre-lacquered and stainless steel, or aluminium and polyester fibreglass – and are field-tested to ensure they can withstand extreme conditions.

Under the agreement, Kinder Australia will supply a variety of cover types, including lateral windshields, fireproof systems, and freely accessible, arch-shaped, windowed and skirted covers.

Kinder Australia CEO Neil Kinder said the new product line was a “perfect fit” with the company’s existing conveyor hardware range.

“We are very excited about this new exclusive partnership between Kinder Australia and Capotex,” he commented. “Bulk materials handling operations overseas have, for a long time, been covering the conveyed load and experiencing the productivity benefits of creating controlled conditions.”

Benefits of covering loads

Neil Kinder explained that covering conveyed loads could help operators comply with occupational health and safety regulations while reducing the impact on nearby residences and the natural environment.

“Capotex’s belt covers are purpose-built and designed to improve personal safety, such as reducing noise and reducing dust emissions. These are now issues that address growing environmental compliance requirements,” he stated.

Kinder added that the belt covers were lightweight and simple to install, requiring few resources. “For ongoing maintenance tasks, the covers are very easy to manoeuvre. That reduces any potential for physical strain that might have previously deterred sites from installing belt covers.”

Capotex account manager Martin Schmidt was equally positive about the expansion of the company’s distribution network into Australia and New Zealand.

“We are delighted to have this partnership with Kinder Australia,” he said. “Their commitment to their customers to provide innovative, high quality and effective bulk materials solutions matches our Capotex corporate values perfectly. Kinder’s family values are very strong and positive, which makes working with their team consistently productive and reliable.”

In addition to the new Capotex covers, Kinder Australia offers its own range of conveyor belt components, including hardware, skirting, belt cleaning systems, and safety and control products.
