Crusher range enhanced through acquisition

Weir Minerals has always been present in the Australian/Pacific sand and aggregates market but the addition of Trio crushers has created a viable alternative in crushing and screening capability, to the benefit of customers.

Weir Minerals’ value proposition is to supply premium quality, long wear life products and spare parts to the minerals and sand and aggregates processing markets.

The global coverage Weir Minerals provides through its extensive network of manufacturing and service facilities increases the assistance available to existing Trio customers through its aftermarkets service and support. It also ensures the future supply of high wear life parts with new materials and designs to improve efficiency and product durability.

{{image2-a:r-w:250}}Trio’s extensive range of crushers is all about providing efficient production of high value, shaped crushed material. All Trio crushers can be widely applied to mining and aggregate applications and they are designed to maximise flexibility and plant efficiency. A way of achieving this is by providing convertible crushing chambers on some models.

The jaw crushers and APP series impact crushers are considered some of the highest capacity primary crushers in the market. As global markets continue to grow, reliable, high capacity crushers are essential to keep pace with the increased throughput required to meet demand.

Trio’s APS series impact crushers and its T-series and TC-series cone crushers are high performance secondary and tertiary crushers. In addition, Trio’s vertical impact crushers utilise the most advanced design platform, offering a VSI crusher with the widest range of capabilities in the market for tertiary and extra-fine quaternary crushing. These impact crushers can produce aggregate, manufactured sand and industrial mineral powders, simplifying processing stages.

Trio designs its crushers with the end user in mind, so operators can quickly master the skills needed to operate, monitor, change and maintain all equipment, reducing downtime and operating costs.

The product’s value extends much further than a single machine for standard or customisable crushing requirements. Trio has designed and built an extensive selection of modular structures for all its crushing and screening equipment.

Trio specialises in modular and portable plant designs, offering a larger array of products than any other OEM. These modular products are highly customisable and create extra value for customers by lowering the cost of construction and installation.

“A customer will often ask us to quote on their designed flow sheet,” Tony Barton, the Australian manager for Trio products at Weir Minerals, said. “More often than not we are able to review their proposal and improve upon it. Not only do we provide our customers with solutions that provide low total ownership costs but also expert knowledge that creates further value for them.”

As extensive as Trio’s current product offer is, Weir Minerals plans to continue its investment in crusher technology, including expanding its range of crushing equipment. This commitment to R&D will ensure Trio facilities, engineering capability and sales channels can continue to satisfy customers’ needs.

“We look forward to continuing to support our customers, while offering them greater capacity in terms of service and spares,” Stuart Borg, Trio’s general manager for the Asia-Pacific region, said. “In short, we will continue to focus on what matters to our customers most – generating highest throughput for the lowest total ownership, backed by the service and support that Weir is renowned for.”
