Conveyor, washer merger to offer more to quarrying industry

US-based Superior Industries, which engineers and manufactures bulk material handling equipment and conveyors, has purchased GreyStone Inc. 
 
GreyStone supplies washing, classifying and dewatering solutions to Australia in the form of both individual equipment and complete engineering systems. Its range of products include washing and screening plants, sand classification tanks and systems, dewatering screws, coarse material washers, log washers, computer control systems, rotary and vibratory screens, dewatering screens and cutter heads.
 
The company is based in Nebraska and also distributes to North America, Europe and Africa. All Australian inquiries are handled by Rivergum Industries, based in New South Wales.
 
Superior, which is headquartered in Minnesota, engineers and manufactures conveyor systems and other bulk material handling and processing systems from Arizona, Georgia and Nebraska. 
 
Superior products are also available locally, with Mobile Conveying Services distributing in the eastern states and Tasmania, and 888 Crushing & Screening distributing in Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. 
 
Quarry contacted Superior for further comment on the acquisition but no further information was available at the time of publication.
