Producer receives new artic hauler

Mawson is a leading supplier of construction materials with headquarters in Victoria. The Bell B30E ADT was commissioned at the Lake Boga Quarry, four hours north of Melbourne. Mawsons acquired the Lake Boga Quarry in 1958 and also has numerous investments in quarries and concrete plants across regional Victoria and southern New South Wales.
Darren Colville, EB Mawson & Sons? Lake Boga Quarry manager, cited safety as the ?number one priority? for acquiring the
B30E ADT.
?The Bell truck delivers above and beyond when it comes to safety features, with everything from reverse camera and mirror package to on-board inclinometer and weighing system,? he said.

?The on-board weighing scale is a standout for us, particularly as we operate in a hard rock quarry. The three accelerometers and external load lights improve load accuracy and prevent overloading. This helps us maximise productivity and reduce our maintenance costs such as tyre and driveline wear.?
Colville added that at Lake Boga, Mawsons preferred to operate articulated trucks due to bench width requirements. In turn, these trucks allow the company to extract more from the quarry.
?Bell?s new design makes it easy for our operators when manoeuvring in and out of the pit,? Colville said. ?They enjoy the comfortable cabin and smooth ride.?
Jim Gardner, HCA?s national product manager for articulated dump trucks, said the B30E was designed to be more streamlined and efficient.
?The B30E is a true showcase of Bell?s evolutionary approach to design,? Gardner said. ?Demand for trucks that are more fuel-efficient yet haul higher payloads continues to drive product advancement in the ADT markets.? ?
