Equipment hire service goes online

Online searchers from across Australia can now access this equipment through the newly launched PlantMiner website: PlantMiner.com.au
The website is the brainchild of CEO and co-founder Michael Trusler, a qualified engineer by trade who came up with the concept while working on-site in Queensland?s Bowen Basin.
?When working on any mine or large construction site, I dreaded starting new jobs and machine breakdowns, due to the time-consuming searches to hire plant and equipment,? Trusler explained.
?It?s not just a case of finding the right piece of equipment or machinery but also all of the safety features and correct attachments that go with it.?
{{image2-a:R-w:200}}{{image3-a:r-w:200}}Trusler explained that since the GFC, mining and quarrying companies have been more readily utilising plant and equipment hire supplies, yet there has been no central database with the capacity to support this demand.
?By directly connecting plant and equipment hire suppliers with searchers from across the country via Google and other search engines, mining companies can essentially de-risk their operations financially,? Trusler explained.
?I want a mining manager to be able to log on to our website or smart phone app and find everything they need for the job at hand almost instantly, without the need to invest hundreds of thousands, even millions, of dollars purchasing new machinery.?
Trusler says the website has attracted more than 30,000 listings from over 500 plant and equipment hire companies from across Australia.
He claims it is the first dedicated online plant and equipment hire database suitable for a wide range of industries, directly linking searchers with specific hire requirements from forestry and farming, to mining and construction, with plant and equipment hire companies across Australia.
?PlantMiner.com.au is the most efficient way to search, compare and secure plant and equipment for hire in a hurry, along with project-specific safety features and attachments,? Trusler said. ?Searchers can specify their exact hire requirements, including hire duration, specific safety features, attachments, even site or mine passouts.?
Trusler said the portal streamlines the ?search and engage? process by gathering a large range of plant and equipment hire suppliers across Australia, in the one place.
?Inquiries and quote requests are sent directly to the supplier in real time via email and SMS, which means searchers can receive an immediate response from a range of suppliers, from all locations, via the website,? he explained.
Plant and equipment hire suppliers can upload detailed descriptions and images of their plant and equipment, safety features and attachments, enabling searchers to view the product before contacting the supplier via phone/email or through the online ?inquire and quote request? lead generation system.
It also allows suppliers to upload their company and branch information onto a company profile page, acting as a mini-website that is ideal for smaller, more remote businesses. Suppliers can upload company information, business photos as well as OHS policies and general hire agreements. ?
