Screener shortlisted in demolition awards

The machine is shortlisted for the ?Manufacturers? Innovation Award? at the World Demolition Awards organised by KHL?s Demolition and Recycling International magazine.
The winner will be announced at the World Demolition Awards 2013 in Amsterdam on 31 October.
?Reaching the final shortlist for this award is testament to the hard work, dedication and foresight of our product development and engineering teams,? Terex Finlay?s sales and marketing director Nigel Irvine said.
?They identified customers? needs, formulated the concept and built an outstanding machine for the global market place that can be used in a diverse range of applications.?
Joint partnership
The Terex Finlay 883 Spaleck is the result of a joint partnership between Terex Finlay and Spaleck, a specialist in static recycling screening technology. At the heart of the mobile plant is a two-deck German designed and constructed high performance screenbox.
According to Terex Finlay, the machine?s unique stepped top deck design, combined with Flip-Flow technology on the bottom deck, enhances its processing capabilities and flexibility. These features make it the only ?all-in-one? mobile solution for processing difficult waste, recycling, slag, C&D, shredded metal ores, coal and soil. Even large-grained material can be screened on a screening machine.
The key features of the 883 Spaleck screener include:
  • Virtually blockage-free screening in the upper and lower deck due to 3D and Flip-Flow technology.
  • 3D screening segments that provide accurate screening with no long pieces passing into the middle grade material.
  • The Flip-Flow screen with screwless mounted screen mats that avoid unnecessary cleaning and reduces maintenance times.
  • The screenbox discharge end which can be hydraulically raised 500mm to facilitate efficient and easy media access and changing.
