CMIC12 call for abstracts

The theme for CMIC 12 is ?Essential Industry for Australia?s Future? and the organising committee is calling for abstracts from IQA and CCAA members.

Abstracts should be based on one or more of these subjects:

  • Lessons learned in development approval – cases studies.
  • Environment issues especially rehabilitation, reducing operational impacts and successful community engagement.
  • Innovations in extraction, resource use and blasting techniques.
  • Land use planning with resource protection and alternative land uses.
  • OHS issues involving management systems, success stories and future opportunities.
  • Operational innovation in processing improvements, and minimising off-site impacts.
  • Innovative use of industry products to deliver key infrastructure.
  • Productivity improvements in transport.
  • Improved specifications leading to improved infrastructure performance and results of R&D that support future specification refinement.

Abstracts must be submitted to the committee by Monday March 26, 2012 and must follow the official abstract guidelines procedure and adhere to the abstract template.

The organising committee will review all abstracts and authors will be notified of the outcome in May 2012.
