Distributor enjoys first six months of success

The partnership that saw Tutt Bryant Equipment (TBE) become the exclusive national distributor for Metso Lokotrack products in April has proven to be a roaring success in a very short period of time, according to Tom Hovatta, TBE?s national product manager.

?In the five months since inception, Tutt Bryant Equipment has sold in excess of $12 million worth of Metso equipment and developed a healthy parts and service relationship with existing owners,? Hovatta said.

?During this period TBE has invested heavily in building its product support capability. In excess of $2 million of spare parts and wear components have been ordered for stock. Specialised Metso service vehicles with tooling are being delivered throughout the national branch network.?

Hovatta said new and experienced people had ?been employed in all key facets of the business?, including the sourcing of qualified factory trained Metso service technicians from overseas to provide the level of service support required by customers.

?This is backed up by an ongoing program of factory training for all service, parts and sales staff,? he said. ?Additionally, TBE is working with some customers to develop tailored parts and service agreements that benefit both parties by increasing availability and reducing costs.?

Hovatta said TBE and Metso would be releasing new and updated models onto the Australian market in the coming months. These include the LT106 and LT120 jaw crushers and also a wide range of mobile screens and tracked stackers.
