First intake for Komatsu graduate program

The GDP is designed to ensure a steady supply of specialist and management expertise into the business.
?Our new GDP is focused on building organisational capability in critical business areas and has recruited a number of recent graduates from various disciplines including three engineering graduates, and one each of IT, finance/accounting and business/commerce ? totalling six for the first intake,? said Sean Taylor, Komatsu Australia?s managing director.
?The program aims to give the graduates an opportunity to develop skills and experience in a range of business areas to prepare them for a career within Komatsu.?
Graduates follow a two-year development program, with each graduate spending time in various Komatsu Australia departments and locations. These rotational assignments are based on four and six monthly blocks, with structured learning and experience plans being a feature of the workplace development cycle.
Graduates who successfully complete the program will be offered on-going employment with Komatsu Australia.
Applications were open to all recent graduates of Australian universities and Komatsu received nearly 550 applications.
Each graduate has been assigned a mentor within Komatsu Australia for the two-year duration of the program.
