Mantle lifter boosts safety for crusher operators

Crushing & Mining Equipment (CME), a global supplier of crushing equipment and consumables to the quarry market, has unveiled its patent-pending LockLift mantle lifting system. Designed for cone crushers, LockLift eliminates the need for welding lifting lugs onto crusher liners, providing customers with the safest means of removing and replacing liners, while reducing mantle change times.

Features of the LockLift technology include:
? A safety locking pin to prevent the lifting plate from turning during lift.
? Integral jacking bolts to break the seal between the mantle and head before lifting, preventing crane overloads and potential damage of internal bearings.
? A torch ring to protect the seating face of the head nut, ensuring secure installation and removing the need to weld to the mantle, whilst protecting the seating face of the head nut.
? An indicator on the inside of the mantle to alert operators when there is not enough material on the mantle to perform a safe lift.

?When you factor reduced mantle change times, LockLift not only improves crusher safety, but contributes to increased productivity and profit for the quarry or mine operation,? said Jeff Smith, CME?s chief executive officer.

The LockLift system is integral to CME?s range of Linersafe cone crusher liners and is available in a range of manganese steel grades to suit most brands of crushers, including ElJay/Cedarapids and HP series crushers.
