Hillhead 2012 filling fast

Hillhead 2012, held at Tarmac?s Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton in Derbyshire, UK, will run from 19 to 21 June, 2012.

Three months out from the event, 99 per cent of the outdoor space had been sold and the 54,000m2 site plan was almost full.

International quarrying plant and equipment companies such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai, Case, Doosan, Volvo, Sandvik, Metso, Terex Finlay and Powerscreen have bought out the larger stands.

?As most of the space in the three demonstration areas has also already been allocated, we are expecting a very busy show,? predicted event director Jack Berridge.

The biennial show was last hosted in 2010, when a record-breaking 460 exhibitors and 15,500 attendees took part. The setting, being a quarry, enables the exhibitors to run working demonstrations of their products in front of their customers and up to 80 products were actively demonstrated in 2010. Once again there will be three demonstration areas: load and haul at the quarry face, rock processing on the western side of the quarry and recycling at the southern end of the showground.
