Wireless indicate system puts excavators on target

The X-22 is designed to be very flexible and easy to operate with an 8.9 inch colour touch screen featuring multiple views including pan, section and profile.
?It?s a simple system ? any operator can dig faster, more safely and more accurately than ever before,? said Garry Fleming, Topcon NSW general manager. ?With this system, an operator will get the job done faster, minimise the potential for re-work and reduce costs.?
As the X-22 uses plug-and-play technology, it makes installation quick and simple so swapping between machines is straightforward. It can handle presets for up to 20 different machines, each with 20 different buckets or attachments, and can be set up to work from any standard rotating laser.
?Having wireless sensors means Topcon has eliminated the chance of breaking cables, while the rechargeable sensors operate for four weeks off a single charge,? said Fleming.
Other features include a simple screen menu to set width, depth and slope with multiple views such as profile, bucket and sectional plus self-checking calibration and an audio height alert alarm.
If that?s not enough the machine can be easily upgraded to a full excavator 3D machine control if the need arises.
