Feeder conveyor adds edge to stacker needs

The main advantage of the FTS65 and FTS75 is that they can be fed directly with any excavator or wheel loader and transport the material 20 to 22 metres away with a huge discharge height. Conventional conveyors without a feeder conveyor attached cannot receive a large volume of material at once.

Additionally, the FTS75 stockpiler is invaluable where the user needs to control the flow of material output. The FTS75 is outstanding at holding a buffer of material within the hopper, then allowing a regulated flow of material to travel up the main conveyor belt. This particular function means that the conveyor can be used to feed material efficiently onto screenboxes and crushers.
An example can be seen with Quarry Products Pty Ltd, based in Toowoomba, Queensland, which recently added a FTS65 to help with production in its quarry. Director Tony Frost said that the FTS65 has become a vital part of the daily processing in his quarry. ?Its versatility to work on its own as a stockpiler, work to help recirculate material with the fixed plant and tie in with the mobile plant in-pit makes it very beneficial to us,? Tony said. He added that even when they are not using the primary jaw and secondary crusher in the fixed plant, they can still do a re-run of 20mm through the VSI to help increase levels of 10mm and 7mm. ?We simply run half the fixed plant and feed it with the FTS65, sending the material straight up to the VSI crusher. This loader fed system has helped with production levels in the quarry.?
Tony adds that the main reason for buying the machine was the build quality and how robust the machine is as ?it simply does the jobs we need it to do?.
Feeder conveyors can offer that next solution in stockpiling material to help increase efficiencies in quarries. They can be used for a variety of applications including crushed aggregate, top soil, roadbase and sand products, can be directly fed by an excavator or loader with large hopper capacity and can be converted to a screen by fitting a vibrating or remote tipping grid to the hopper (both optional). A control gate has been installed to regulate the flow material as it travels up the main belt and a feeder conveyor also has hydraulic rear jacking legs for support when loading.
Each feeder conveyor also has a range of input and output heights and can be used in conjunction with any crusher or screen. Easily transportable around the site and with an increased stockpile capacity, the feeder conveyor also offers reduced operating costs by as much as 75 per cent. The loader operator is not required to continuously move material from underneath the conveyor.?
