Uniquest workshops on carbon tax

The university in conjunction with its commercialisation company Uniquest?s consulting and research division will look at calculating the carbon footprint, calculating carbon costs and cost savings. It will also explore new business opportunities generated by carbon management strategies.
The workshops will take place in Brisbane and Mackay in July and August and will be funded by the Federal Government?s Enterprise Connect Programme. 
UniQuest?s managing director David Henderson said, ?Decision-makers attending the workshops will hear from leading academics who understand the complex issues facing industry in relation to commercial and environmental sustainability.
“It’s an opportunity for many companies, especially small to medium enterprises, to gain valuable insights into the implications for their businesses.?
The workshop details can be obtained from the University of Queensland or Uniquest web pages. The workshop on 2 August, 2011 in Mackay will deal specifically with the mining industry and service providers.
