German trommels return to Oz

Australian quarry operators will, for the first time in many years, have access to Doppstadt?s range of high speed trommel screens.

German screen manufacturer Doppstadt is set to resume its local distribution, entering into an exclusive agreement with mobile crushing and screening supplier Screenmasters Australia.

Doppstadt, which distributes over 600 of its machines in the US, UK and European markets every year, performed an exhaustive search for a local agency. Doppstadt?s area sales manager for the Asia-Pacific, Florian Hummer, said Screenmasters was ?our first choice … When we looked at the resources, the passion and the drive this company has to succeed, we needed to look no further than Screenmasters.?

In turn, Screenmasters, which also handles the local distribution for Metso, Keestrack and Rockster, is ?delighted? with the new distribution agreement, and is preparing to roll out Doppstadt?s range in the Australian market in the coming months.

Mick Lagan, sales manager at Screenmasters, said he was excited about the Doppstadt machines? flexibility, which include trommel screens on both tracks and wheels, with star screen beds capable of replacing a trommel drum.

There are seven models in the Doppstadt SM series trommel screen product line, including the SM 514 for lighter screening applications and the SM 720 for the dedicated production of aggregate or recycling of C&D materials.

Along with the Doppstadt products, Screenmasters will offer financing options for customers, which Mick Lagan described as ?flexible for these difficult times?.
