Sullair releases new portable diesel compressor

Designed especially for hot, humid and dusty environments, the portable diesel compressors are available in 550, 600, 700 and 750 acfm capacities, delivering a range of working pressures from 80 to 250 psig.

The Melbourne-based company designs and manufactures rotary screw air compressors and imports its diesel portable compressors.

A three-stage filtration system improves the unit?s efficiency. Sullair?s airend is incorporated into the compressor, while a SSAM shutdown system with an annunciator module hedges against high temperatures, low fuel and pressure.

Utilising a 250 horsepower Caterpillar C7 engine that is Tier 3 emission-compliant and a new single axle configuration, the compressor?s weight has been reduced by 1.2 tonnes.

Sullair has overhauled the portable diesel compressor?s canopy and service door design in an attempt to offer easier access for servicing and maintenance, using a modular canopy design for sectional replacement or removal in a single piece. A larger service door lets operators get into the fuel tank, engine, compressor and air filter with ease.

The new series of compressors is due on the Australian market via Sullair?s seven branch offices and 11 distributors in December this year.
