Caterpillar, Clark donate to flood recovery efforts

Clark Equipment, with its partners Doosan and Bobcat, made a $650,000 donation of equipment to the Lockyer Valley Regional Council, including a Doosan DL200 wheel loader, a DX140 excavator, a Bobcat 418 excavator, a T110 track loader and a S130 skid steer loader.

These machines will be used in an array of recovery projects. The compact excavators and Bobcat loaders will help with the clean up and small to mid-size earthmoving, while the large excavator and wheel loader will be used for larger worksites.

The Caterpillar Foundation in the US donated $US100,000 to the Give2Asia Flood Fund 2011 appeal. Give2Asia is currently working with the St Vincent de Paul Society and the Salvation Army in Queensland on a range of activities, including programmes addressing schools, home visits and home necessities, counselling services, farming support and supply transportation to remote communities.

Caterpillar?s Brisbane-based district managerBrendon Davis stated that Caterpillar is also running a scheme to match Caterpillar employee, dealer and retiree donations up to another $100,000.

Cat Finance has also offered Caterpillar?s affected Queensland customers a variety of flexible terms and programmes, for example, restructuring loans to offer relief from monthly repayments.
