New events at ACE 2011

The Australian Construction Equipment (ACE) expo returns to Melbourne?s Sandown Racecourse from 24 to 26 February, 2011, with two new features introduced for customers in the earthmoving business. ACE is being organised by Exhibitions & Trade Fairs in association with the Victorian branch of the Construction and Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG).

The first innovation is an Earthmoving Demonstration Arena, featuring machinery from Australia?s leading suppliers in a controlled environment. Buyers will be able to put the machines through their paces and compare brands in order to make informed purchasing decisions.

?ACE?s focus has traditionally been on the static display of machinery,? says Paul Mathers, the event director, ?but this new dynamic, interactive feature, combined with the ability to squeeze suppliers for the best deal, is bound to bring out the buyers in the market.?
The Earthmoving Demonstration Arena will be active from 10.00am to 4.00pm daily and on-site registrations, a zero blood alcohol level and proof of competency will be essential.

ACE 2011 will also see the introduction of a brand new VIP programme, which includes for the first time, an invitation only VIP luncheon featuring a keynote address from former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett, and hosted by Sam Kekovich, AFL legend and spokesman for the Australian lamb industry.

CMEIG president Sam Scata says the VIP programme offers exhibitors the opportunity to invite their key clients to enjoy their hospitality in a relaxed but high level networking environment. ?This year as an association we worked hard with the event management to ensure we are doing all we can to attract key decision makers,? he says. ?The ACE VIP Industry Luncheon is the first of many steps that will ensure that we not only attract those customers, but engage them in a way that puts ACE at the top of their ?to do? list.?

The ACE VIP Industry Luncheon will take place in the Let?s Elope Room on Friday 25 February, 2011. On-line registrations commenced in November.
