Steinexpo and Bauma 2008 were excellent platforms for the European and Asian launches of the upgraded CH660 cone crusher, which underwent extensive enhancements optimising its operations at all levels. However, true to all generations of Sandvik cone crushers, the CH660 still features an advanced design with a small footprint and high capacity in relation to size, high reduction efficiency and excellent cubicity, coupled with hydraulically adjusted closed side setting, the option of automation, and a broad selection of crushing chambers. In short, the CH660 is an enhanced cone crusher that is versatile, user-friendly and highly productive.
ROBUST DESIGN AND EXTENDED LIFE
The features of the CH660 cone crusher include:
? A reinforced top shell to meet the demands of quarrying customers, a brand new design offering smoother radiuses to decrease tensions, and an increased spider cap diameter to further protect the spider hub.
? A feed hopper bolted with lock nuts, a reinforced, four-piece design granting increased stability, and a larger and robust inspection hatch.
? A bottom shell with a five-arm instead of three-arm design, providing the eccentric hub with more uniformed support and overall greater sturdiness.
? An inspection hatch on the bottom shell made of PU instead of steel and including a wear indicator.
? A cylindrical and stronger fit between the head centre and the main shaft to meet the great demands of quarry customers.
? A deeper cavity in the top of the spider cap – making it easier for the rock to build up and protect the spider cap.
? A top shell prepared for the optional sensor monitoring of the temperature in the spider bearing, thus offering protection of the spider bearing and preventing major failure.
BETTER THROUGHPUT AND OPTIMAL PRODUCTIVITY
The CH660 promises optimised productivity, thanks to:
? A larger breathing tube to allow free flow of air in/out in the spider bearing, preventing clogging from taking place.
? Heightened spider arms, creating more room for the material to flow into the chamber.
? An optional level indicator available for a better control of the level in the feed hopper. A sensor performs continuous and precise level measurements, making it possible to adjust the material level within small variations.
REDUCED VIBRATION AND NOISE, PLUS BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE
The Sandvik CH660 cone crusher is equipped with Sandvik lightweight polymer linings for wear protection and noise reduction, better working environment and longer wear life. The linings are easy to install and to change.
Furthermore, all internal parts of the new CH660 are interchangeable with previous Sandvik models.
