Agile speed drives

Bonfiglioli’s range of Variable Frequency Drives are critical to managing torque and process speeds on conveyor motors.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) adjust the frequency and voltage supplied to the motors on apron feeders and conveyors, allowing for different speeds, torque or power to be used at different times (eg a high torque upon start-up, and a lower torque during operation).

VFDs are particularly useful in extractive operations where a conveyor may have to handle different types of aggregate of different weights.

Bonfiglioli’s VFD range caters to a large size range, from 0.20kW to 1200kW, for a variety of industries. Its ACT Active system drive features integrated PLC functions with connectivity to most bus systems. It is also commonly used on apron feeders and conveyors, where starting torque and process speeds need to be managed.
